Lita Rossana Ford is an American writer, performer and guitarist who hails from the British Isles. She was the guitarist for the rocking, all-girl ensemble The Runaways in the 1970s. Their punk rock style and raunchy songs helped them gain recognition throughout the world of rock. The band was never able to the band to be a major hit in America but they gained much popularity across other nations, including Japan. Ford's solo metal career had a great success following the band breakup. She began taking vocal lessons. Her first solo release was 'Dancing on the Edge'. Ford was unable to achieve much with either album, and then she decided to leave the music scene for 10 years. In 1988, Ford returned to the spotlight with the album that became a huge hit "Lita". It was a big hit for both the song 'Kiss Me Deadly,' as well as the ballad , 'Close My Eyes Forever. Her success was not long-lasting and she was absent for a number of years. In 1995, she released her debut album "Black," followed by 15 years later , 'Wicked Wonderland. The album she released in the year 2016 titled 'Time-Capsule.
